Our Connect Solidarity Fund

Is helping people.. Here are a few example’s of how that’s happening!
We have received many words of thanks from those within our church family who YOU have generously supported.
Some words from our fellow church family members:
“My wife and I would like to thank you for your support and assistance during this disaster period we are going through. We really feel in the family. May the Lord bless us all,  and we should continue living in fellowship as one body of Christ. We thank you.”“It means the world to me that you came to
my aid at such a troubling time.”

“On behalf of my entire family, I would like to wholeheartedly thank you and the Leadership of Connect Church for the generous financial support that I received. May God Almighty bless our Church Leaders and the congregation abundantly!

Let’s pray!

PRAYER FOCUS THIS WEEK:

EMMANUEL & CLAUTILDAH OKONKWO (North East Nigeria)
Praise and Prayer:

  • During the lockdown we are spending time together as a family. Please pray that it will be meaningful. Once the lockdown is over Emmanuel will embark on the research time in the North East state of Taraba.
  • We praise God that Clautildah has been chosen to be in the planning committee for CAPRO staff retreat in December. She is handling admin & publicity together with the incoming National Director for Nigeria. Pray for this planning. We are also inviting staff from French speaking countries where CAPRO is working.
  • We had 12 CAPRO staff from 2 different stations kidnapped. We had been praying for their release. ALL ARE NOW FREE! Our brethren who were forcefully held hostage are all free.
  • On 5 May Fulani’s attacked the mission base of Bayo Famonure in Gana Ropp-Plateau state, North Central Nigeria. He, his wife and 2 children were shot. Kindly lift them up in prayers. Pray that they will live and not die. Pray for an end to this scourge of Fulani attacks in Nigeria. Pray that no life will be lost. For those who don’t know – Bayo Famonure was the main visioner of Calvary Ministries CAPRO

The latest update about the Famonure family:

  • From Uncle Bayo himself via SMS:  I am very okay. Yes, shot in the head but bullet didn’t enter. It’s a miracle.  Shot in my feet but missed the bones. Just praise God. Mummy referred to hospital in Jos. She is stable but a bullet in her back. Adua and Victor shot in the feet.
  • Unfortunately, the Jihadi Muslim attacks on Christians is happening almost every day in Nigeria. Last month in April one Christian was killed every day (on average) in Nigeria for their faith.
