New Online Experience

This week will be our 7th Sunday experiencing our church services online due to the lockdown. These are unprecedented times for us, not just as a country but as His Church. We are now moving to level 4 of lockdown and we have no indication yet of how long we will be operating at this level. There will be no going back to normal meetings for us as a church community until we receive further guidelines.

So in light of this we are upgrading our ‘Sunday Service’ efforts to bring the familiar elements of our meetings into the online space.

Confinement Refinement

We will begin a new 3 week series called Confinement / Refinement this Sunday and have a time of worship together, a segment of testimonies and the weekly message grouped together into one video experience.

This also means that we will be meeting together at the same time on Sunday mornings, at 9am, to join together live with the pastoral team, and as the Connect Church community. The youtube link will still be emailed at 07:30am on Sunday morning and we are looking forward to ‘seeing’ you there in the chat.

Lockdown Levels

In anticipation of tomorrows change to Level 4, remember that the SAcoronavirus website is the place to find the indepth information regarding the various lockdown levels.

PRAYER FOCUS THIS WEEK:

Please pray for members of our Church who are working for NGO’s or running their own businesses. This is unchartered territory for many. Please see below for some specific prayer needs:

HIDDEN TREASURE:

  • While we are in lock down, would you pray for our Hidden Treasure Shops and staff. No trade means no income to pay rent or staff. Very small reserve in bank as they give all their profits to missions and ministry!
  • Would you prepare a box of donations for Hidden Treasure, for when they open? Your help with household goods would be deeply appreciated.  Shirley Fischer: 0721884629 or Sheena Coetzee: 0726927730.

NGO’s:

  • Please pray that they would still be able to meet overheads and continue in some way to be a blessing to people they support and are passionate about. 

SMALL BUSINESSES:

  • Please pray for those that have small businesses where retrenchments will be part of the way forward. For needs to be met in a supernatural way, and for wisdom to make the right decisions moving forward.
